For decades, I have ran two small businesses within the Anoka County community. After raising two successful daughters, who I encouraged to chase their dreams, I decided it was time to chase my own. I have always been fond of decorating, event planning, and crafting. There is a certain sense of joy I have always found through using my creativity. Following some business transitions, I came up with the idea to open my own junk market in 2015.

I get a lot of questions about the location of my store, which is within a charming old home, next door to our other business which is in a converted garage. The historical and sentimental truth behind these old walls is that it was the home my husband was raised in. Edna Wolfe, my late-mother in-law, was a brilliant artist. She was a quiet woman who told stories through strokes of a paint brush. Her vision and artistic capabilities live on within my store.

Here at Little Bighorn Company Junk Market, I feature local products and items made in Minnesota. My favorite part about my store is honoring my late-mother in law by featuring local painters and artisans. I restore and repaint items in a creative way. The jewelry, and kitchen products sprinkled throughout my store are unique and adorable. You will see a whole new store each season. We are open only a few times a month so that we can truly provide you with an experience, we are not a cookie cutter store, we are a one of a kind boutique. This store is for all ages, genders, and tastes, there is something to find for everyone. Come in to experience the local art scene and support MN makers, we also have complimentary coffee. Stop by soon, we look forward to seeing you!

XOXO,

Joanie
